Dr. Kha' Sadler earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2002 from Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, NJ. That same year, she began her career with the New Jersey Department of Children and Families within the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (formerly known as the Division of Youth and Family Services or DYFS). Over the course of ten and a half years, Dr. Sadler served as a case manager for three years before transitioning to a juvenile court liaison role for the remainder of her tenure. Through her work, she gained invaluable expertise in child protection, child welfare, childhood trauma, juvenile delinquency, and the intersection of mental health and substance abuse in children and families.
Dr. Sadler later earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2008 from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA, followed by a Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology in 2014 from Immaculata University in Immaculata, PA. Her professional interests and clinical expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, dating violence, romantic dating relationships, first generation and low-income students, diversity issues related to racial identity and development, spirituality and religion. Her integrative theoretical orientation draws from Psychodynamic, Multicultural Counseling, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy.
Dr. Sadler has had the opportunity to present on both local and national platforms, including the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), Caribbean Alliance of National Psychology Association (CAPA), as well as numerous colleges, universities, and K-12 school districts. With deep conviction and a destined mandate to foster healing and change, Dr. Sadler is determined and committed to empowering youth and young adults, emphasizing her dedication to their well-being with the question: ”U Good F.A.M.?"
Currently, Dr. Kha' Sadler serves as the Associate Provost for Wellness and Inclusivity at Rowan University. She is also a proud advisor to several multicultural organizations.
